Looking back at the 2014 Conversation with the Elders, remembering Herbert Gettridge
2014 Mardi Gras Indian Hall of Fame Honoree Herbert Gettridge, past Wild Man and Trail Chief of the Yellow Pocahontas, became an ancestor on October 31, 2014.
Big Chief Clarence "Delco" Dalcour of the Creole Osceolas nominated Mr. Gettridge for our Elder Statesman award. Gettridge was inducted during the 16th Mardi Gras Indian Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony in August 2014, and joined Guardians of the Flame Council Chief Joseph Jenkins, and White Eagles Flag Boy Ike Edwards in our first "Conversation with the Elders."
